Loft Insulation
A quarter of a home's heat can leave through the roof. Insulation is cheap to do properly and expensive to do badly. We top up or replace to the recommended 270mm, cross-laid so there are no gaps, and we keep the eaves open so the roof timbers stay dry.

Sound familiar?
The problems we get called about.
If any of these sound like your loft, send a photo through the hatch and we will tell you what it needs.
- Thin, patchy insulation that has slumped over the years.
- Insulation stuffed into the eaves, blocking the airflow the roof needs.
- A cold bedroom under a loft that has never been insulated.
- Old insulation soiled by pests and never replaced.
What is included
What we do, line by line.
- Depth check across the whole loft, not just by the hatch.
- Mineral wool laid between and then across the joists to 270mm.
- Eaves ventilation kept clear with trays where needed.
- Hatch lid insulated and draught-sealed.
- Pipes and tanks above the insulation lagged so they do not freeze.
- Downlights protected with fire-rated covers before insulation goes over them.
